Free Level 1 Employability Skills Short Course in Lowestoft. Classes run at Lowestoft Campus, full-time during the day. This is a focused route for anyone ready to build the practical skills employers look for. The course runs for around 600 hours and covers key employability skills to help you move into work or further training. It is awarded by Gateway Qualifications, and you will have an initial assessment to confirm the course is the right fit for you.

Employability L1 Award E&T [Step to Work] (GSP00AAAL1 25/26LA) is based in the Foundation & Progression department and is designed to help you develop skills in this area. We have chosen GATEWAY as the exam board for this course.

How you will learn
You will learn through classroom-based sessions at Lowestoft Campus. Teaching is delivered in person during the day. Assessment is through coursework and practical tasks completed during the course. There are no formal written exams. Your progress will be reviewed throughout, and the centre will guide you on what is needed to complete the Award.
