ESOL - Entry Level 2 - Reading E&T (GLS00AAAL2 25/26LA) is based in the ESOL department and is designed to help you develop skills in this area. We have chosen ASCENTIS as the exam board for this course.

What you will learn
You'll read and understand short, simple texts on familiar topics.
You'll identify the main point in everyday written materials such as notices, signs, and forms.
You'll follow written instructions in common everyday situations.
You'll recognise and understand vocabulary used in familiar contexts.
You'll use reading strategies to work out the meaning of unfamiliar words.
How you will learn
You'll learn in a classroom at Lowestoft Campus during evening sessions. Assessment is set by Ascentis and is based on reading tasks that reflect everyday English texts. You'll be assessed through a formal reading test. Your tutor will work through practice materials with you in class to prepare you for the assessment.
