Who this course is for

Employability Skills qualifications are designed to support an individual successfully gaining a job, progressing in a chosen field, preparing the individual for further study and supporting the development of techniques required for successful independent living.

This qualification is aimed at anyone who wants to live a more independent life, progress in education and/or their employment prospects; get into a job, develop on the job or move onto the next job, as they progress along the career ladder.

Entry requirements

Must be aged 16 to 18 and you don't need any previous experience in the industry already.

  • You'll practise interview techniques and how to present yourself to employers.
  • You'll build workplace communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • You'll explore how to set goals and plan your career or education route.

  • You'll understand what employers expect from employees day to day.

How you will learn

You'll learn through classroom sessions at Nova Training Dereham. Activities include group work, practical tasks, and guided exercises. You'll be assessed through coursework and portfolio evidence built up over the 13 weeks. There are no formal written exams.
