Free Level 1 Employability Skills Course in Cannock. Classes run at Nova Training Cannock, full-time during the day. This free employability skills course is open to people aged 16 to 18 years old with no previous experience needed. You'll have an initial assessment to confirm the course is the right fit and to plan your learning. Employability Skills qualifications are designed to support an individual successfully gaining a job, progressing in a chosen field, preparing the individual for further study and supporting the development of techniques required for successful independent living.

This qualification is aimed at anyone who wants to live a more independent life, progress in education and/or their employment prospects; get into a job, develop on the job or move onto the next job, as they progress along the career ladder.

Entry requirements

Must be aged 16 to 18 and you don't need any previous experience in the industry already.

  • You'll build an understanding of how to progress in a career over time.

How you will learn

Learning takes place in a classroom at Nova Training Cannock. You'll work through units covering employment and independent living skills, with support from a tutor throughout. Assessment is based on the work you produce during the course, including written tasks and practical activities. There are no formal exams.
