About this course

Free Level 1 Employability Skills Course in Dudley. Classes run at Nova Training Netherton, full-time during the day. This free employability skills course is open to people aged 16 to 18 years old with no previous experience needed. You'll have an initial assessment to make sure the level is right for you. Over 13 weeks, you cover the skills and knowledge employers look for, from job searching and interview preparation to independent living and career planning. The course supports you whether you're aiming to get into work, move up in a role, or go on to further study.

Who this course is for

Employability Skills qualifications are designed to support an individual successfully gaining a job, progressing in a chosen field, preparing the individual for further study and supporting the development of techniques required for successful independent living.

This qualification is aimed at anyone who wants to live a more independent life, progress in education and/or their employment prospects; get into a job, develop on the job or move onto the next job, as they progress along the career ladder.

Entry requirements

Must be aged 16 to 18 and you don't need any previous experience in the industry already.

Assessment is through portfolio work and assignments that reflect real workplace situations. Your tutor will guide you through each topic and give feedback as you progress.
