Free Level 1 Employability Course in Nottingham. Classes run at Nethergate Academy, full-time during the day. This free employability course is designed for learners who are working toward employment and need support overcoming barriers to getting a job. All students follow a post-16 study programme and have an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP). You'll develop the practical skills and knowledge that employers look for. Who this course is for

The ASDAN Entry Level Award in Employability (Level 1) is designed to help learners develop the skills needed to become successful employees. The primary purpose of this qualification is to support them in overcoming barriers to entering work.

The Level 1 qualification is intended for young people and adults who are not yet ready for employment but for whom a job is a realistic aim within a reasonable timescale.

This course is offered to students following a post 16 study programme at Nethergate, following an employability pathway.

Units include those related to exploring job opportunities, health and safety in the workplace and participation in work experience placements.

Entry requirements

All students enrolled on this course are following a post-16 pathway at Nethergate and have an EHCP.

No specific entry requirements but students will be assessed at working towards Level 1.

You'll be assessed at working toward Level 1 when you start, and your progress will be tracked throughout the course. Assessment is ongoing and based on the work and activities you complete during your studies.
