About this course

Free Level 1 Computer Course in Nottingham. Classes run at Beeston Library on Tuesday afternoons, part-time over 24 weeks.

The course is for adults aged 19 or over. You'll cover five units: using devices and handling information, creating and editing documents, communicating online, completing digital transactions, and staying safe online. Sessions are practical, with plenty of time to practise each skill.

At the end, you sit an exam to earn your Digital Functional Skills qualification.

What you will learn

How you will learn

You'll learn through practical, tutor-led sessions in a small group of 5 to 12 people. Each Tuesday afternoon session gives you time to try tasks and build your skills step by step. At the end of the course, you'll sit an exam to gain the qualification.

What you will need to bring

Bring a notebook, a pen, and any login details you already use at home, such as email or online account details. If you have your own device, you're welcome to bring it, but it's not essential. Beeston Library has laptops you can borrow during sessions.
