Free Level 1 Bricklaying Course in St Albans. Classes run at Oaklands College St Albans Campus, full-time during the day. You'll need a minimum of 4 GCSEs at grades 1 to 3, or completion of an Entry Level programme, to join. The course runs for 36 weeks and covers the core practical and theory skills of bricklaying: laying bricks and blocks, mixing mortar, handling materials, health and safety, basic technical drawing, and tool maintenance. English and Maths are included as part of your study programme.

This course consists of practical & theory and associated with bricklaying. You will learn how to handle and store materials, work efficiently in a team, lay bricks and blocks, mix mortar and work place Health & Safety.
The course also gives out the skills to carry out basic technical drawing, basic maintenance of tools & equipment, of basic structural repairs relating to brickwork.
You will study English and Maths at a level appropriate for you as part of this study programme.
