What you will learn

  • You'll write for different purposes, such as to inform, persuade, and describe.
  • You'll develop accurate spelling, punctuation, and grammar.
  • You'll practise spoken language and communication skills.
  • You'll learn how to structure and plan your writing effectively.
  • You'll explore how writers use language and form to create meaning.

How you will learn

Classes are delivered in the classroom on weekday evenings. You'll learn through guided study, written tasks, and discussion. Assessment is by written examination. There is also a spoken language endorsement, which is assessed separately and reported alongside your grade but does not affect it.
