About this course

Free Functional Skills Maths Level 2 in Scarborough. Classes run at Scarborough Adult Learning and Skills Service, part-time during the day, over 18 weeks. This is the recognised GCSE maths equivalent, accepted by employers and colleges in place of a GCSE grade 4 or above. The course covers number, measure, statistics, and problem-solving at Level 2. You'll have an initial assessment to confirm this is the right level for you. The centre will use it to plan your learning.

To be eligible for funding for courses you must be over 19 years of age as at 31st August in the current academic year and not be an apprentice, further eligibility may be linked to where you live and we will check that at enrolment stage and may contact

You'll learn in a classroom at Scarborough Adult Learning and Skills Service, with a tutor guiding you through each topic. Assessment is by written exam, covering both non-calculator and calculator sections. You'll work through practice questions and past papers to build your exam technique before sitting the final assessment.
