About this course

Free Functional Skills Maths Level 2 Course. Study online. You study at your own pace, so the course fits around work, family, or other commitments. You'll need to be 19 or over on 31 August 2025 and not hold a grade A*–D or grade 9–3 GCSE in Maths. An online initial assessment places you at the right level before you start. The course runs over 10 weeks. It covers the maths skills employers ask for when they say 'GCSE maths or equivalent', making it a recognised gcse maths alternative for job applications and further study. Who this course is for

You need to be 19 or over on the 31st of August 2025 and not have a grade A* - D / grade 9 - 3 GCSE in Maths. Entry Requirements You will need to complete an online initial assessment. This will help us place you on the correct course. Attendance You will be required to attend at least 90% of your classes. Should your attendance fall below this, your place on the course may be at risk. This is an academic course, and you must allow time for private study at home of at least 2 hours per week.

How you will learn

You'll attend live online classes and complete private study at home of at least two hours per week. A minimum attendance of 90% is required; falling below this puts your place at risk. Assessment is by a formal written exam set by City and Guilds. You'll need to complete an online initial assessment before the course begins so you're placed at the correct level.
