Free Functional Skills Maths Level 2 in Northallerton. Evening maths classes run at Richmond Adult Learning and Skills Service, so you can fit study around work or other commitments. This level 2 functional skills maths course runs over 18 weeks, part-time. It covers the maths skills employers ask for in everyday work: numbers, measures, data, and problem-solving. Functional Skills Maths Level 2 is the recognised GCSE maths equivalent, accepted by employers and colleges when they ask for GCSE maths or equivalent. You'll sit an initial assessment at enrolment to confirm this is the right level for you.

How you will learn
Classes are delivered in a classroom at Richmond Adult Learning and Skills Service. You'll work through topics with a tutor and practise applying maths to everyday situations. Assessment is by a written exam set by City and Guilds. There is no coursework portfolio. You'll need to pass both a non-calculator and a calculator paper to earn your certificate.
