Free Entry Level ESOL Skills for Life (speaking and listening) Course in Hackney. Classes run at ELATT Shoreditch. Daytime sessions run part-time over 24 weeks, giving you time to manage other commitments alongside your studies. You'll practise speaking and listening in everyday situations: daily life, shopping, transport, local services, and health. You'll also build teamwork skills and the confidence to work on your own initiative. To join, you complete an initial assessment to make sure this is the right level for you.
Who this course is for
This course covers a variety of subjects including: daily life, shopping, transport, local services and health, speaking, listening, reading and writing skills. Participants will develop their employability skills and their ability to work in a team and on their own initiative. On completion they can progress on to ESOL Level 2.

Complete an Initial Assessment with ELATT or a recognised referral partner.

How you will learn
You'll learn through classroom-based sessions at ELATT Shoreditch. Classes focus on speaking and listening activities, including group discussions, role play, and listening exercises based on real everyday topics. Assessment is through spoken tasks and listening activities that reflect the Entry 1 standard. Your tutor will guide you through each topic and give you feedback as you progress.
