Free Entry Level ESOL Skills for Life (reading) Course in Lambeth. Classes run at Lambeth Adult Learning, part-time during the day. You'll learn to read simple English for everyday situations: basic forms, letters from your doctor or your child's school, health and safety notices, and transport information. You'll also build your vocabulary and practise reading for job applications. The course runs for 48 hours. You'll have an initial assessment before you start, unless you already hold an Entry Level 1 ESOL qualification, to make sure this is the right level for you.
Who this course is for
This course is for individuals that have little or some English reading skills. You will learn how to read simple English to help you go about your daily life. You will learn how to read basic forms, use a dictionary, read a letter from your surgery and any letters from your child�s school. You will be able to read basic health & safety and transport information.
Entry requirements
Prior ESOL E1 qualification is required, otherwise you will have to complete an initial assessment as part of your enrolment.

How you will learn
Classes are classroom based, part-time, and run during the day at Lambeth Adult Learning. You'll work through reading tasks and activities with a teacher and other learners. Assessment is through tasks and exercises that reflect everyday reading situations, in line with the Pearson Edexcel Entry Level Award in ESOL Skills for Life.

The centre will provide most materials. Lambeth Adult Learning will confirm anything else you need before you start.
