Free Entry Level ESOL Skills for Life Course in Haringey. Daytime classes run at 5E Selby Centre. This entry level esol skills for life course is for people living in the UK whose first language is not English. You'll work on speaking and listening, reading, and writing. You can take all three parts together or take speaking and listening on its own. The course runs for 225 hours. It's a practical way to learn English in the UK and improve how you communicate with more than one person at a time.

Who this course is for

Entry Level 2 will suit you if you have some English and want to improve your understanding of straightforward instructions, statements and questions, as well as have the confidence to speak or write to more than one person. There are three parts to the qualification: Speaking and listening Writing Reading. You can get a qualification in Speaking and listening on its own. Or you can take all three parts as one qualification. Up to two of the three parts can be achieved at Entry 3.

ESOL Skills for Life is for anyone living in the UK whose first language isn't English. There are options for people whose English is at different levels and for those who want to improve their English for work or study.

How you will learn

You'll study in a classroom at 5E Selby Centre with a flexible daytime timetable. The qualification has three parts: speaking and listening, reading, and writing. Each part is assessed separately, so you can gain a Certificate in speaking and listening on its own or complete all three together. Assessment is practical and based on tasks that reflect real everyday English use.
