Free Entry Level English Skills - Speaking and Listening Course in Stoke-on-Trent. Classes run at Regent College, full-time during the day. This course is part of an Independent Living Skills programme. You work on individual targets set after an initial assessment. Sessions focus on giving and getting information in everyday situations, including community-based learning. You will need an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) to join. The course runs over 38 weeks.

Following assessment learners will work on individual targets as part of their principle qualification: Independent Living Skills. In sessions and when taking part in community based learning they will work on providing and obtaining information to others in everyday settings

How you will learn
You will learn through classroom sessions and community-based activities. Learning is shaped around your individual targets, set after an initial assessment. You will practise speaking and listening in everyday situations, both in the classroom and out in the community. Assessment is ongoing and linked to your personal targets within the Independent Living Skills programme.
