Free Entry Level 3 Functional Skills Maths in Watford. Classes run at TCHC Watford GAPS Centre. You must be enrolled on a vocational qualification at one of the GAPS centres to take this course. You'll work with numbers and the number system, including whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
You'll use common measures, including length, weight, capacity, and time.
You'll work with shape and space, including basic geometry.
You'll handle and interpret data, including simple charts and tables.
You'll apply maths to everyday situations, including budgeting and cost-of-living calculations.
You'll practise both calculator and non-calculator maths problem-solving.
How you will learn
You'll study in a classroom at TCHC Watford GAPS Centre. Teaching covers the three core areas of the qualification. Assessment is by two exams: one where you can use a calculator and one where you cannot. Both are set and marked externally by NCFE.
