Free Entry Level 3 Functional Skills Maths in Ripon. Evening maths classes run at Ripon Community House Ripon, so you can fit study around work or other commitments. This entry level functional skills maths course runs over 18 weeks part-time. You'll cover number, measure, and handling data at Entry Level 3. Functional Skills Maths Level 2 is the recognised GCSE maths equivalent, and this course builds the foundation toward that. You'll sit an assessment at the end.

To be eligible for funding for courses you must be over 19 years of age as at 31st August in the current academic year and not be an apprentice, further eligibility may be linked to where you live and we will check that at enrolment stage and may contact
What you will learn
You'll work with whole numbers, including counting, ordering, and simple calculations.
You'll add, subtract, multiply, and divide using everyday contexts.
You'll use fractions and recognise simple percentages.
You'll work with money, time, and measurements in practical situations.
You'll read and interpret simple charts, tables, and graphs.
You'll solve straightforward maths problems using the skills above.
How you will learn
Classes are classroom based, held in the evening at Ripon Community House Ripon. You'll learn through tutor-led sessions and practice activities. Assessment is by a formal written test set by City and Guilds. You'll need to pass both a non-calculator and a calculator paper to achieve the qualification.
