Free Entry Level 3 Functional Skills Maths in Ripon. Classes run at Ripon Community House Ripon. Daytime sessions run part-time over 18 weeks, making this a manageable option if you're fitting study around other commitments. To be eligible for funding for courses you must be over 19 years of age as at 31st August in the current academic year and not be an apprentice, further eligibility may be linked to where you live and we will check that at enrolment stage and may contact

You'll work with whole numbers, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
You'll understand and use simple fractions and percentages in everyday contexts.
You'll read, measure, and record time, length, weight, and capacity.
You'll handle money and work out costs, change, and simple budgets.
You'll read and interpret simple charts, tables, and graphs.
You'll solve straightforward maths problems using the skills above.
How you will learn
You'll learn in a classroom at Ripon Community House Ripon, with a tutor guiding sessions at a part-time daytime pace. Assessment is through a written external test set by City and Guilds. Before the test, you'll complete practice activities and tasks in class to build your skills and confidence with the material.
