Entry requirements
There are no entry requirements but if you don't have any qualifications you will be asked to take an English and maths test.
What you will learn
You'll work with whole numbers, including adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing.
You'll understand fractions and recognise simple fractions in everyday contexts.
You'll read and interpret simple charts, tables and graphs.
You'll use basic measures, including length, weight, capacity and time.
You'll handle money and work out straightforward calculations involving cost and change.
You'll solve practical maths problems set in everyday situations.
How you will learn
Classes are classroom based, with a tutor guiding you through each topic. You'll practise skills through written exercises and problem-solving tasks. Assessment is by a written exam set by Pearson Edexcel. You'll sit the exam when your tutor confirms you're ready.
