About this course

Free Entry Level 3 Computer Course in Mansfield. Classes run at Mansfield Central Library on Wednesday mornings, part-time over 24 weeks.

The course covers five units. You'll learn to use devices, create and edit documents, communicate online, carry out everyday transactions, and stay safe on the internet. Each session gives you time to practise and ask questions. Laptops are provided, so you don't need to bring your own.

You'll finish with a Digital Functional Skills Entry Level 3 Certificate from Gateway Qualifications.

What you will learn

  • You'll use a computer and handle digital information confidently.
  • You'll create and edit documents for everyday tasks.
  • You'll send and receive emails and communicate safely online.
  • You'll carry out simple online transactions.

  • You'll find and use information from the internet.

How you will learn

You'll learn through practical, hands-on sessions in a small group of 5 to 12 people. Each class gives you time to try new skills and ask questions. At the end of the course, you'll sit an exam. Laptops are available in the library, so no equipment is needed.

What you will need to bring

You don't need to bring a computer. Laptops are provided at Mansfield Central Library. Feel free to bring a pen and paper for notes.
