About this course

Free Entry Level 2 Functional Skills English in Medway. Classes run at TCHC Medway GAPS Centre. You must be enrolled on a vocational qualification at one of the GAPS centres to be eligible. The course covers reading, writing, and speaking and listening, with an assessment in each area. It runs over 55 hours of full-time daytime study. You'll also get support with cost-of-living budgeting.

Who this course is for

Young people aged 16-18 (and 16-24 with an EHCP) who would like to gain a qualification in Functional Skills English.

How you will learn

Classes are delivered in a classroom at TCHC Medway GAPS Centre during the day. You'll be assessed in three separate areas: reading, writing, and speaking and listening. Each area has its own assessment. You'll also have access to careers guidance, mentoring, coaching, CV support, interview training, and work experience opportunities including job shadowing and volunteering.
