Free Entry Level 2 Functional Skills English in Sheffield. Daytime classes run at CTS Training. You'll have an initial assessment to confirm this is the right level for you, and the centre will use it to plan your learning. No matter how well you did prior, we can help you get where you want to be on a CTS Study Programme to help you gain the qualifications & confidence you may need for the future.
What you will learn
You'll read and understand short, straightforward texts on familiar topics.
You'll write simple sentences using basic punctuation and spelling.
You'll communicate clearly in everyday spoken conversations.
You'll follow and give simple instructions in a work or daily-life context.
You'll identify the main points in a short piece of writing.
You'll complete simple forms and written tasks accurately.
How you will learn
You'll learn in a classroom at CTS Training, with flexible daytime attendance. Assessment is through set tasks covering reading, writing, and speaking and listening. These are assessed by your tutor and submitted to City and Guilds for marking. You must pass all three components to achieve the qualification.
