About this course

Free Entry Level 1 Functional Skills Maths in Richmond. Classes run at Richmond Adult Learning and Skills Service. Daytime sessions run part-time over 18 weeks, so you can fit study around other commitments. You'll build core number skills: working with whole numbers, simple calculations, and everyday maths tasks. This is an entry level functional skills maths course, so it's designed for people who are starting from scratch with formal maths qualifications. You'll sit a City and Guilds assessment at the end.

Who this course is for

This course is for people who want to improve their Maths skills and who currently, do not hold a current Entry Level 1 or higher qualification

Entry requirements

  • You'll recognise and use simple shapes and measurements.
  • You'll handle basic money and time in everyday contexts.
  • You'll read and interpret simple number information, such as charts or tables.
