Free Computer Course for Beginners in Northampton. Classes run at Evolve Your Future, part-time during the day. This is a free computer course for beginners course for adults aged 19 or over who do not yet hold an IT qualification at Level 1. Classes run three days a week at a manageable pace, making it easy to fit around other commitments. Over around three months, you'll build the essential digital skills needed to use devices, go online, and engage with everyday digital services. This entry level computer course for beginners certificate is awarded by NCFE.

Anyone who needs the understanding of and competency in the essential digital skills they need for life. It will enable learners to engage with digital services and products in everyday life.

Must be 19 years plus

Unemployed or Employed

Does not have an IT qualification at Level 1 (GCSE Grade C or 4)

•Be able to turn on a device, use the available controls on my device, interact with the home screen on my device

  • Understand that the internet allows me to access information and content and that I can connect to it through Wi-Fi
  • Be able to connect my device to a safe and secure Wi-Fi network
  • Be able to connect to the internet and open a browser to find and use websites
