Free BTEC Level 3 Sport and Exercise Science Course in Boston. Classes run at Boston College Peter Paine Performance Centre, full-time over two years. This level 3 btec sport and exercise science course covers anatomy, physiology, psychology, specialised fitness training, coaching, and research methods. Entry requires four GCSEs at grade 4 or above, or a Pass profile at First Diploma in a related subject. In year two, you can also work toward a Level 3 Sport Leader qualification. It leads to careers in the sports and leisure industries or progression to higher education.
Who this course is for
This course is designed for those who wish to gain a sport qualification to further their career aspirations in the sports and leisure industries, or prepare them for further training or Higher Education. A range of units will be studied over the course that cover all aspects of sport and exercise including: anatomy, physiology, psychology, specialised fitness training, coaching, research methods. In the second year, a Level 3 Sport Leader qualification will be available for those working at their set target grades. You will study in our Peter Paine Performance Centre, which is open to the public outside of lessons providing you with a real working environment to study in that's dedicated to ensuring you have all the skills you need for working in the industry. Alongside our fantastic education pathway, learners will also be part of the Boston College Academy of Sport which will allow participation in regional and local competitions in many sports. This year, learners accessing our provision, will be able to take part in the 'prestigious' Association of Colleges Football league. Students will have training built into their timetable, receive training from a Licensed UEFA B football coach and build on their personal, technical, tactical and physical attributes. Entry requirements
The entry qualifications for the Level 3 Sport and Exercise Sciences Diploma are four GCSEs at grade 4 or above (Old GCSE grade C or above) (or equivalent) . You can also enter the course with a Pass profile at First Diploma in a related subject.

Assessment is ongoing throughout the two years rather than relying on final exams alone.
