Explore and develop technical performance skills in a range of styles leading to numerous practical performance opportunities in our well-equipped performance spaces. You will collaborate with others to create devised performance work using all your skills and techniques. We also consider spiritual, moral, social, cultural and human values with our work. Explore your creativity, knowledge and technical skills in our well-equipped performance spaces. Discover how lighting, costume and set design contribute to dance, whilst choreographing and performing a range of dance pieces in front of a range of audiences.

You will research the work of key dance practitioners which will help develop your research, critical analysis and extended writing skills. We also consider spiritual, moral, social, cultural and human values with our work. This exciting course and will equip you with the fundamental tools that all musical theatre performers require as performing arts practitioners. Investigate and develop knowledge of the work of key practitioners which will inform your work and help develop research, critical analysis and extended writing skills.

You will explore and develop technical performance skills in a range of styles leading to numerous practical performance opportunities in our well-equipped performance spaces. Collaborate with other to create devised performance work using all your skills and techniques. You will also participate in further specialist units which explore and develop further your dance skills.

We also consider spiritual, moral, social, cultural and human values with our work.

Entry requirements

To enter South Craven Sixth Form students need to have achieved Grade 9-4 at GCSE (A*-C), or Merits in other level 2 qualifications (e.g. BTEC, OCR Nationals), in at least 5 separate subjects including English Lit/English Language or Maths. This is considered to be the minimum entry requirement.
