Who this course is for
This course is for you if you have an interest in working in the media industry, perhaps in TV, film, radio or publishing and are thinking of going on to study media related subjects at university. An alternative to A level media, it's broad based, designed to give you an insight into the range of careers available and the opportunity to develop hands on practical skills with software and hardware currently in use in the industry. You can study it alongside other level 3 qualifications such as A levels or other BTEC's.

How you will learn
You'll learn through classroom-based sessions combining practical project work with taught content. Assessment is a mix of internally assessed assignments and externally set assessments. Your work across units contributes to your final grade. The course follows the Pearson BTEC National specification, with 360 guided learning hours and a total qualification time of 480 hours over the two years.
