Free BTEC Level 2 Sport Course in Bexhill-on-Sea. Classes run full-time at Bexhill College, five days a week during the day. This level 2 btec sport course takes one year to complete and covers how the body responds to exercise, fitness training, and the skills needed to work in the outdoor and adventurous activity industry. You'll visit local outdoor venues as part of your learning, so expect to be active and outdoors regularly. A sports kit is compulsory for all lessons. Entry requires a range of grade 2 and 3 passes at GCSE.
Who this course is for
This course is the first step to becoming an outdoor instructor or working in the outdoor and adventurous industry. Throughout the year you will improve your knowledge of the outdoor industry and begin to enhance your skills in becoming an outdoor practitioner. Within the course you will gain an understanding of how the body systems work and respond to exercise, you will also design and undertake a training programme to improve your fitness. The course will also involve you developing skills in a range of land and water-based outdoor and adventurous activities, such as climbing, mountain biking, windsurfing and sailing.
