Free AAT Level 2 Bookkeeping Course in Bury Saint Edmunds. Classes run at University and Professional Development Centre, once a week on Thursdays from 9.30am to 4.15pm. This free AAT bookkeeping course runs part-time over two years, so you can fit study around other commitments. There are no entry requirements, and you don't need previous work experience to join. You'll learn the core skills used in bookkeeping roles, from recording transactions to understanding accounts. The level 2 AAT bookkeeping qualification is a recognised starting point for a career in bookkeeping or accounting.

Who this course is for

This qualification is intended for those either working or aspiring to work, in a bookkeeping position. Following successful completion of this qualification you will be able to progress onto accounting level 2 or join one of our level 3 bookkeeping courses.This course will run once a week, on Thursdays, from 09.30am-16.15pm , at our Bury St Edmunds Learning Centre.

Entry requirements

Unlike other qualifications there are no entry requirements with AAT and you don't need relevant work experience. This means that this course is ideal if you are leaving school, returning to work or thinking about a change in career.Useful strengths include:- confidence with numbers time management attention to detail ability to problem solve

How you will learn

Classes are held in a classroom at the centre every Thursday. You'll learn through a mix of tutor-led sessions, practical exercises, and worked examples. Assessment is through AAT examinations, which you'll sit at an approved test centre. Your tutor will guide you through each topic before you move on to the next.
