About this course

Free AAT Level 2 Accounting Course. Work-based training at your workplace. You learn while you work, building practical accounting skills alongside your job role. The course covers double-entry bookkeeping, accounting software, sales and purchase ledgers, basic costing, and the business environment. You'll need GCSEs at a good level and to be in a relevant job role to complete all units. The course typically takes 2 months. Most learners start at Level 2, making this a solid entry point into a free AAT accounting qualification.

Who this course is for

KBM Training and Recruitment with the collaboration of KBM Chartered Certified Accountants & Registered Auditors and Institute of Financial Accountants, offers accounting work experience and AAT qualifications.

With this qualification you will build on your knowledge of accounting software packages. You'll learn practical skills, from using accounting software to enter accounting transactions to producing a range of reports. Most students start at Level 2.

What you will learn

  • You'll use accounting software to enter and process transactions accurately.
  • You'll apply double-entry bookkeeping principles across sales, purchase, and general ledgers.
  • You'll prepare credit notes and calculate sales invoices.

  • You'll learn about the business environment and how it relates to accounting practice.

How you will learn

You train in a real workplace, applying your skills directly to accounting tasks in your job role. Learning is practical and hands-on, supported by access to an ACCA-registered accountancy firm for work experience. Assessment is based on the units set by AAT: Introduction to Bookkeeping, Principles of Bookkeeping Controls, Principles of Costing, and The Business Environment. Each unit is assessed separately.
