Entry Level 3 ESOL Skills for Life: Speaking and Listening Course in Brent. Classes run at College of North West London, part-time during the day. The course runs for 15 weeks and is open to adults. What you will learn
You'll speak clearly and confidently in everyday conversations in English.
You'll listen and respond to spoken information in familiar situations.
You'll follow instructions and questions given in English.
You'll take part in discussions and express your views.
You'll understand different speakers, including different accents and speeds of speech.
You'll use appropriate language for different situations, such as formal and informal settings.
How you will learn
Classes are classroom based, so you'll practise speaking and listening with your teacher and other learners. Assessment is through observed speaking and listening tasks. You'll be assessed on your ability to communicate in real conversations and respond to spoken English in a range of everyday situations. Your progress is assessed directly through these tasks rather than written exams.
