Entry Level 3 Employability Skills Course in Poole. Classes run at Dolphin Centre, with sessions on Thursday afternoons over 7 weeks. The course runs part-time during the day, making it manageable alongside other commitments. You'll build foundational ICT skills and learn how to use them in the context of job applications. Units cover using ICT systems safely, searching for and selecting information online, and creating content for a purpose. No previous qualifications or experience are required. This is an entry level employability skills qualification awarded by City and Guilds.
Who this course is for
This is the follow-on course to our ICT for Beginners A� and ICT fro Beginners A Plus courses and is suitable for a wide range of learners. Learners do not need any particular qualifications or experience and our expectation is that everyone who applies for the course will be welcomed�on it if there is sufficient space.�
What you will learn
You'll start up, shut down, and navigate an ICT system confidently.
You'll open and close applications and use input and output devices.
You'll follow safe practices when using a computer.
You'll use search techniques to find and select information online.
You'll enter, develop, and present content for a specific purpose.
You'll apply your ICT skills in the context of making job applications.
How you will learn
You'll learn through weekly classroom sessions, each lasting 3 hours. Teaching covers three units, building your ICT skills step by step. You'll be assessed through practical tasks completed during the course. Assessment is based on what you can do, not written exams.

The centre will provide most materials. Skills & Learning Adult Community Education will confirm anything else you need before you start.
