Entry Level 3 Employability Skills Course in Bournemouth. Classes run at Kings Park Leisure & Learning Centre on Thursday mornings, part-time over 6 weeks. This entry level employability skills course covers foundational ICT skills. You'll learn to use a computer safely, search for information online, and apply those digital skills in the context of job applications. No prior qualifications or experience are needed. You'll have an initial assessment to confirm this is the right level for you.
Who this course is for
This is the follow-on course to our ICT for Beginners A� and ICT fro Beginners A Plus courses and is suitable for a wide range of learners. Learners do not need any particular qualifications or experience and our expectation is that everyone who applies for the course will be welcomed�on it if there is sufficient space.�
What you will learn
You'll start up, shut down, and navigate an ICT system confidently.
You'll use input and output devices and open software applications.
You'll follow safe practices when using a computer.
You'll search for and select information online using appropriate techniques.
You'll enter, develop, and present content for a specific purpose.
You'll apply your ICT skills to making job applications.
How you will learn
You'll learn through classroom-based sessions at Kings Park Leisure & Learning Centre. Each Thursday session runs for 3 hours. The course covers three units, building your ICT skills step by step. Assessment is practical and unit-based, with work completed during sessions. The centre will confirm the exact assessment approach before you start.
