Entry Level 2 ESOL Skills for Life: Speaking and Listening in Havering. Classes run at The Brittons Academy during the day, part-time, over 13 weeks. This is an entry level ESOL Skills for Life: Speaking and Listening course focused on spoken English. You'll develop your ability to understand and take part in everyday conversations in English. Before you start, you'll have an initial assessment with an ESOL teacher to confirm this is the right level for you. If you have previous ESOL certificates, bring them along. City and Guilds Entry Level 2 Award in ESOL Skills for Life (Speaking and Listening) with certificate.
Who this course is for
Anyone who has completed all units ESOL Entry Level 1 or completed Entry Level 2 unit for writing and/or reading. Any learner who has been evaluated at Entry Level 2 by an ESOL teacher during a PCI session.
Entry requirements
"Before the course, you will be required to sit an initial assessment with an ESOL teacher to determine your current level to ensure the course you attend is the most suitable level for you. If you have previously passed any ESOL qualifications, please bring your certificate with you."
What you will learn
You'll listen and respond to spoken English in everyday situations.
You'll take part in conversations on familiar topics.
You'll ask and answer questions clearly in English.
You'll follow and give simple instructions and information.
You'll use appropriate language when speaking to different people.
How you will learn
You'll learn through classroom-based activities at The Brittons Academy, including speaking and listening exercises, group discussions, and role-play tasks. Assessment is through observed speaking and listening tasks carried out during the course. There is no written exam for this qualification.
What you will need to bring
The centre will provide most materials. The Brittons Academy will confirm anything else you need before you start. If you have previously passed any ESOL qualifications, bring your certificate with you to your initial assessment.
