These entry level ESOL skills for life reading classes are designed for English for speakers of other languages, and your entry requirements will be assessed individually before you start.

What you will learn
You'll read and understand short, simple texts in everyday English.
You'll identify key information in signs, notices, and forms.
You'll recognise common words and phrases used in daily life in the UK.
You'll understand the meaning of simple sentences and short paragraphs.
You'll use context to work out the meaning of unfamiliar words.
How you will learn
You'll learn in a classroom at College of North West London. Assessment is through tasks and activities that test your reading skills at Entry Level 1. There is no written exam. Your work is assessed as part of the course.
What you will need to bring
The centre will provide most materials. College of North West London will confirm anything else you need before you start.
