Free Entry Level 1 Functional Skills Maths in Barking and Dagenham. Classes run at Rush Green Campus. Daytime sessions are part-time, so you can fit study around family, work, or other commitments. This entry level functional skills maths course covers everyday number skills: counting, simple calculations, and using maths in practical situations. The course takes around 54 hours in total. It's a recognised step toward Entry Level 2 and, further along, the functional skills maths qualification at Level 2, which is the GCSE maths alternative accepted by many employers and colleges.

How you will learn
You'll learn in a classroom at Rush Green Campus, with a tutor guiding each session. Assessment is through a short written test set by Pearson Edexcel. You'll also complete tasks and activities during the course to practise your skills. You'll have an initial assessment before you start so the centre can confirm Entry Level 1 is the right starting point for you and plan your learning from there.
