  • You'll listen and respond to straightforward spoken instructions.
  • You'll speak clearly to communicate basic information.
  • You'll recognise and use common everyday words in reading and writing.
  • You'll follow and give simple written and spoken instructions.

How you will learn

You'll learn in a classroom at Rush Green Campus, with a tutor guiding each session. Learning is practical and activity-based, covering reading, writing, speaking, and listening tasks. Assessment is through a combination of tasks and a short test set by Pearson Edexcel. Your tutor will prepare you for the assessment during the course.
