Level 1 ESOL Skills for Life: Reading Course in Kensington and Chelsea. Classes run at Morley College London North Kensington Campus, part-time during the day. The course also covers speaking, listening, and writing, with each term focusing on one skill for assessment. Classes run over 7 weeks. When you pass each skill, you receive a certificate for that skill.
Who this course is for
This course is for you if you would like to develop your understanding of written texts. It will help you to improve your ability to read a variety of text types about a wider range of subjects. In this course, you will develop reading, speaking and listening, and writing skills. Each term includes all four skills but focuses on a specific skill for the exam taken in that term. When you pass each skill you will receive a certificate for that particular skill. To achieve the full ESOL Level 1 qualification, you must pass Speaking and Listening Level 1, Reading Level 1 and Writing Level 1.
Entry requirements
You will take an initial assessment which will determine your current level of English. You may join this course if your assessed level is just below the standards at Level 1.

You'll take an initial assessment before starting so the centre can confirm Level 1 is the right level for you.
