Level 1 ESOL Skills for Life: Reading Course in Brent. Classes run at The College of North West London, part-time during the day. The course runs over 12 weeks and is open to adults. You'll have an individual assessment before you start, so the college can plan your learning at the right level. The course builds your English reading skills as a speaker of other languages, helping you read everyday texts, signs, and written information with greater ease. You'll learn through classroom-based sessions with a tutor. Assessment is through tasks and activities that test your reading skills directly. There are no written exams in the traditional sense; you'll be assessed on your ability to read and respond to texts at Level 1.
