Who this course is for

Preparing students to enter employment with the qualities and abilities necessary for roles that require personal responsibility and decision-making and support students to aspire to future management roles including the following: Operations Manager Regional Manager Divisional Manager Department Manager and Specialist Managers. The units also prepare students to progress to Level 6 higher education study, including higher apprenticeships and professional body qualifications. Students will be able to develop and apply their own ideas to their studies, to deal with uncertainty and complexity, to explore solutions, demonstrate critical evaluation and use both theory and practice in a wide range of business situations. By the end of Level 5, students will have a sound understanding of the principles of leadership and management and will know how to apply those principles more widely in the business world.

Entry requirements

BTEC Level 3 qualification in Business GCE Advanced Level profile that demonstrates performance in a relevant subject or adequate performance in more than one GCE subject. This profile is likely to be supported by GCSE grades at A* to C (or equivalent) and/or 9 to 4 (or equivalent) in subjects such as maths and English A related Level 3 qual an Access to HE Diploma from an approved further education institution relevant work experience, or an international equivalent to the above qualifications
