Who this course is for

Take the next step in your construction career with our Higher National Certificate (HNC) in Construction Management (Site Supervisor) - a nationally recognised Higher Technical Qualification (HTQ) designed to help you develop the specialist skills and knowledge needed to manage people, processes and projects on site.

This course provides a strong balance of theoretical understanding and hands on experience, giving you the confidence to plan, monitor and deliver construction work safely, efficiently and to a high standard. You’ll explore key areas such as health, safety and welfare on construction sites, construction technology, surveying, measuring and setting out and finance management, all essential to the effective supervision of modern construction projects.

Taught by industry-experienced tutors, you’ll gain valuable insight into the latest methods and standards shaping today’s construction industry.

Whether you’re already working in the sector or looking to progress into management, the HNC provides a solid foundation for roles such as Site Supervisor or Assistant Site Manager, and can also lead to further study at HND or degree level.

Entry requirements

You will be expected to have English and maths at GCSE grade 4 or above or a Level 2 Functional Skills certificate in English and maths may be considered.

Other related Level 3 qualifications such as VRQ, NVQ, or an Access to Higher Education Diploma or related work experience, would also be considered on a case-by-case basis.
