Management Accountant
Location: Leicestershire
Salary: £40,000 – £45,000 + study support
1 day working from home
Hours: Monday-Thursday 8:30am-5:00pm | Friday 8:30am-4:00pm | 39 hours per week
We’re working with an established manufacturing business in Leicester who are looking to recruit a Management Accountant to join their finance team. This is a broad, hands-on role supporting two subsidiaries, with responsibility across management accounting, budgeting, forecasting, analysis and business partnering.
The Role
– Prepare monthly management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet, variance analysis and commentary
– Complete month-end journals, accruals, prepayments and balance sheet reconciliations
– Analyse cost of sales, labour, production costs, stock and gross margins
– Support annual budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis
– Review standard costing and manufacturing absorption rates
– Work closely with operational stakeholders to understand performance and identify cost-saving opportunities
– Support VAT returns, year-end audit and tax requirements
About You
– CIMA/ACCA qualified or studying towards
– Previous manufacturing experience ideally
– Strong management accounting and month-end experience
– Exposure to standard costing, stock and manufacturing cost analysis
– Strong analytical and Excel skills
– ERP system experience
– Confident communicating with both finance and non-finance stakeholders
