Summary
The nursery is looking for a caring and dedicated Childcare Apprentice to join our team. Ideal for school leavers or career changers, you will help create a safe, nurturing environment, support children’s learning and development, and gain hands-on experience while working towards your Level 2 Early Years Practitioner qualification.
What you will do at work
- Supervise and care for children, ensuring their safety and wellbeing
- Support children’s learning and development through age-appropriate activities and play
- Help children develop social, emotional, and physical skills
- Assist with daily routines, including mealtimes, rest times, and personal care
- Communicate positively with children, parents, and colleagues
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised environment
- Support children’s individual needs and follow care plans
- Work as part of a team to provide high-quality childcare
- Follow safeguarding, health and safety, and nursery policies
- Observe children’s progress and contribute to their learning records
Training
Onsite with support from a mentor and a recognised training provider.
