Summary
Working under the supervision of a mentor whilst training, you will be doing activities with the children both inside and outside and updating their care diaries once confident in the role. You will be supporting the aims and objectives of the nursery and assisting with the daily routine of the nursery and children’s needs.
What you will do at work
- To develop and maintain positive relationships with children and families
- To assist with the planning and delivery of a wide range of activities to meet children’s needs
- To work within the EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage) and promote high standards of care for the children
- Follow the guidance of your mentor throughout the day-to-day routine of the nursery
Full training will be given.
Training
- Early Years Practitioner Level 2
- The apprenticeship will be delivered in the workplace
- Apprentices will be invited to attend a monthly workshop which is usually delivered virtually
