Summary
We are looking for an enthusiastic and practical individual to join our team as an Apprentice Caravan & Motorhome Repair Technician. PCS Paintwork Specialists is a family-run business specialising in caravan and motorhome repairs, paintwork, bodywork restoration, damp repairs, plastic welding, refurbishment, and repair work.
What you will do at work
As part of your apprenticeship, you will learn to:
- Carry out routine servicing and maintenance activities on caravans and motorhomes.
- Assist with bodywork repairs, panel replacement, and cosmetic repairs.
- Support paint preparation activities, including sanding, filling, masking, and refinishing.
- Carry out plastic welding and restoration work.
- Inspect vehicles for damage, wear, defects, and water ingress.
- Assist with damp repairs and refurbishment projects.
- Support the installation and repair of fixtures, fittings, and accessories.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and workshop equipment safely and effectively.
- Complete repair records and job documentation accurately.
- Maintain high standards of quality, housekeeping, and health and safety.
- Work as part of a team to ensure repairs are completed efficiently and to customer expectations.
Training
Employment will be based in Lostock Hall, Preston.
Working days will be from 9am to 5pm with one training day per week at Preston College.
