About this employer

AJEB Healthcare is a CQC-registered home care (domiciliary care) provider, established in 2025 and contracted by North Yorkshire Council.

We support older adults and adults with care needs to live safely, comfortably and independently in their own homes.

We are a small, people-focused team led by a senior medical doctor.

We know every client and every carer by name, and we invest in training our staff to grow their careers in care.

After this apprenticeship

On successful completion you will be offered a permanent Care Worker post with AJEB Healthcare.

There is a clear route to Senior Care Worker and on to the Level 3 Lead Adult Care Worker apprenticeship.

Things to consider

No qualifications or care experience are required.

You will need to read and write English well enough to keep clear care records. Support with English and maths is available through the training provider if needed.

Travel between clients’ homes is required. A full UK driving licence and access to a car with business insurance is strongly preferred.

Shifts include early mornings, evenings, weekends and bank holidays on a rota.

Once trained and competent, you will often work on your own in people’s homes, with support from the office and on-call manager.

The role involves physical work, including moving and handling with equipment.

An enhanced DBS check (adults’ barred list) and two satisfactory references are required before starting.

Must be 18 or over with the right to work in the UK.
