Who this course is for
The purpose of this qualification is to provide you with the knowledge, skills and understanding to be a hairdresser/stylist. This qualification is based on the Level 3 Hairdressing National Occupational Standards and is recognised by the UK’s leading professional hair associations (The Hair Council and National
Hairdressing Federation) as being fit for purpose to prepare you for a career as a hairdresser/stylist. This qualification is also approved and supported by the Hairdressing and Beauty Industry Authority (HABIA), the standard setting body for hair, beauty, nails and spa qualifications.
Entry requirements
To be accepted to study this qualification we recommend you have successfully
achieved one of the following; a Level 2 qualification in hairdressing, an intermediate apprenticeship in hairdressing or a interview/skills test to demonstrate your industry gained skills.

You'll develop the business and client-care skills needed to work professionally in a salon.
How you will learn
Learning is blended: you'll complete theory and knowledge units online, then apply your skills in practical sessions at the centre. Assessment includes observed practical work, written assignments, and a portfolio of evidence. Your assessor will observe you working with clients and review your portfolio to confirm you've met the required standards.
