Who this course is for

This course is for practising counsellors or psychotherapists who are interesting in becoming supervisors. Effective supervision is one of the key pillars of good clinical practice; a place where practitioners can grown and develop both personally and professionally with facilitative support and encouragement.

The course tutor for this course is Nicky Worrall TSTA(P) MSc (Psych) CTA MCIPD Dip Supervision. Nicky is a UCKP Registered Psychotherapist & Supervisor and an experienced trainer. She has been involved in delivering counselling, psychotherapy and supervision training at Peter Symonds College, Metanoia Institute and Physis Scotland. Nicky has worked in private practice since 2005 and has a wealth of experience to bring to her students.

PLEASE NOTE: The course takes place over 6 x Fridays (14:00-20:00) and Saturdays (09:30-16:30)

Entry requirements

Prospective students require:

  • Counselling or Psychotherapy qualification
  • A minimum of 3 years post qualification practice (min 150 hours per year)
  • Either practising as a supervisor or able to undertake a supervisory placement to obtain 24 hours of supervisory practice during the course
  • Be a member of professional body (BACP/UKCP/NCS)
  • Have current indemnity insurance & be in formal supervision of your supervision practice.
