Level 5 HND in Manufacturing Engineering in Tower Hamlets. Classes run at London City Institute of Technology, full-time during the day. This Pearson Edexcel level 5 hnd in manufacturing engineering course covers the core technical and academic knowledge manufacturing employers need. You'll study for 60 weeks across the two-year programme. The course has been designed to meet employers’ needs. These Higher National qualifications are widely recognised by industry and higher education as the principal vocational qualification at Levels 4 and 5 with a high academic content.

The Level 5 HND programme offers students a broad introduction to the subject area via a mandatory core of learning, while allowing for the acquisition of some sector specific skills and knowledge through the specialist units in each pathway. The units in these pathways effectively build underpinning core knowledge while preparing you for more intense subject specialisation at higher levels. You will gain a wide range of sector knowledge tied to practical skills gained in research, self-study and directed study.

Entry requirements

5 GCSE qualifications at grade A*-C or 9-4 (to include, science, Maths and English) BTEC Level 3 Diploma with MP grade or a BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma with MPP grade in an Engineering bias. The usual entry requirements for this course are a minimum of 96 UCAS points obtained from level 3 qualifications.
